Professional Registered Nurse (Sister) - RN

Your daily duties will include but is not limited to:

Resident Care:

Act as liaison between the facility and families as well as doctors, hospitals, clinics and pharmacy's

Responsible for quality patient centered care (determine, plan and administer patient needs)

Handling complaints

Investigating of adverse events

Personnel Management:

Time and attendance

Manpower planning

Responsible for in-service training of employees

Delegation of duties to staff

Daily supervision of nursing staff

Admin:

Statutory compliance with the dep social development (norms and standards)

Health and safety compliance

Responsible and ensuring proper recordkeeping (Kardex, Care Plans, Resident files)

Control expenditure by managing wastage and stock control

Required Qualification

3 year degree or diploma in general nursing

Registered as a registered professional nurse with SANC.

Skills & Experience

Proficiency in at least

English & Afrikaans. (a must)

Valid

drivers licence

. (a must)

Ability to impart knowledge & show initiative

Ability to work independently

Ability to lead by example & solve problems promptly & efficiently

Ability to manage, organize, plan & communicate well

Strong, healthy interpersonal skills

Computer literate - mainly MS Office

Extensive nursing background - 5 years' experience as a registered professional nurse

Ability to manage the staff

Needs to be quite practical and hands on.

Needs to be a problem solver, managing resident healthcare and dealing with family complaints daily

Good leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Ability to work well within a team.
