Job Description

Our client is searching for a Production Manager Designate to join their team in Mpumalanga.Main functions will include, but are not limited to:

• To coordinate and lead all production needs in the Resin plant through measuring, monitoring and controlling chemical usage against standards.
• Ensuring that production schedules are adhered to.
• Communicating machine operational specifications to the production team
• Complying with OHASA requirements
• Manages production personnel by setting direction and priorities.
• Provides training and continuous development for all production personnel.
• Managing the production line in a manufacturing environment to ensure production meets or performs better than the budget
• Developing and maintaining quality standards
• Setting and maintaining departmental budget by reviewing financial statements, monitoring line efficiencies, monitoring labour costs, and other expenses.
• Must be able to work flexible schedules.

Minimum qualifications and experience:

• Minimum of a Chemical Engineering Degree with 10 years of experience, or
• Minimum of a Chemical Engineering Diploma with 15 years of experience.

Recommended skills, knowledge and qualities:

• At least 10 years of experience in a Chemical Manufacturing/Production environment, of which 3 years in a Supervisory capacity.
• Manage all Production activities within the Department from raw material up to the final Product within the approved budget.
• Excellent Planning / Managerial Skills
• Decision-making ability
• Strong interpersonal and Communication Skills are essential
• Computer Skills, Self-Driven.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to lead and supervise the Production Team.
