Job Advert Summary

To ensure water demands and standards are complied with as instructed by Senior Process Supervisor - Operations and Process Quality Manager by supervising the purification and pumping of water at the various production facilities, and effective control over staff and equipment, therefore meeting the water demand required to supply customer consumption.

Minimum Requirements

oGrade 12 (National Senior Certificate) o Desired education: Diploma Water Care or equivalent. o At least 5 years experience in the water purification process. o2 years Supervisory experience o Class V process controller classification o Valid driver's license with the ability to pass Rand Water's K53 test.

Primary Duties

o Control of water into systems by meeting water demands, no overflows/ low level trips. o Monitor raw water quality o Oversee slacking of lime process. o Washing of filters. o Sterilizing of filters when required.o Reporting of filters condition, condition of filter beds and valves o Storage and handling of cylinders, as per standard procedure o Stopping and starting of pumps

Knowledge

o Water purification and treatment process. o Safety working procedures. o Manpower utilization. o OHSAS 18001 o ISO 9001 & 14001
