Job Advert Summary
To monitor and carry out cleaning of purification systems, filters, chemical lines and dosing plants as well as safe isolation of systems and pipelines when requested
Minimum Requirements
o Grade 12 combined with a NQF Level 2 or N1 in Water and Waste Water Treatment OR N3 or NQF level 4 in Water and Waste Water Treatment o 2 years process plant experienceo 2 years Water Purification experience.o Class I Process Controller Classification
Primary Duties
o Desludging of systems o Cleaning of silica plants, chemical pipe work, chemical tanks and screens. o Isolation and cleaning of process systems o Clean spreader plates and holes o Removal of sand in sand traps for re-use (recovered water sump) o Maintenance of filters.
Knowledge
o Operation of plant o Water purification and treatment processo Knowledge of the OHS Act and its application oKnowledge and application of ISO requirements
Skills
o Communication skills (Verbal and written) o Good housekeeping skills o Conflict resolution oGood decision making and sound labour relation skills o Administrative Skills o Problem solving skills o Analytical skills to do fault finding o Computer literacy (Advantage)
Attitude
o General safety conscious. o Good working relations o Able to work under pressure
