Job Advert Summary

Assisting in supervising and managing mechanical staff in the maintenance of Rand Water vehicles / plant / equipment to ensure its availability of Water Purification Plant at Zuikerbosch Water Treatment Plant.

Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate) N6 National N Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with a recognised Trade Test qualification in Petrol or Diesel Mechanics and or National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering. Supervisor qualification. Valid drivers licence and the ability to pass Rand Waters K53 test. 4years relevant experience with at least 2years in supervisory capacity. Computer literacy. SAMTRAC will serve as an advantage.

Primary Duties

Coordinate and control workflow Assist in compilation of transport budget Coordinate procurement of spares and services Priorities from job cards are set to ensure workload is completed timely and effective Staff management and maintaining good labour relations Provide services to meet customer requirements. Compile site workshop budget. Assist in Controlling of budget expenditure. Monitoring and reporting on vehicles/ plant/ equipment to ensure minimum downtime and maximum availability. Ensure that planned maintenance is checked and verified for effectiveness and efficiency.
