Job Profile:

The incumbents will be responsible for the distribution systems and recoveries of all Utilities

Key Performance Areas:

Strategic alignment

Ensure availability and reliability of the following Utilities:-


Steam. Rand Water. Compressed Air. Demineralised Water. Liquid Nitrogen. Operation of Sewage Plant. Cooling towers.

2. Process Management

To assist the Shift Foremen in doing the regular inspections and logging of plant parameters of the following Utilities as well as liaise with Maintenance Services.

3. General tasks an actions

Identification and reporting of defects and malfunctions leaks and any deficiencies in plants and associated distribution systems. Ensuring a clean, safe and neat plant environment at all times. Wearing of the correct personnel protective equipment (PPE) as applicable in plant. Logging of incidents and actions as required. Oversee Coal delivery, Nitrogen deliveries, Effluent disposal as and when required. Comply with BBS requirements. Comply with SHEQ requirements. Ensure that the systems and equipment are clean in accordance with the specified requirements. Ensure that measures implemented in cleaning of systems and equipment adhere to environmental, safety and quality requirements in accordance with the applicable INS documents. Adhere to HR rules, i.e. working hours, sick leave, leave etc. Adhere to HSE guidelines, prevent accidents and wear PPE as prescribed. Strive to always ensure that the systems and equipment are clean at all times. Communication with customers Section Head, Shift Foremen and Process Controllers in order to ensure that the support required is fulfilled. Support and work according to QMS rules and utilise prescribed documents. Satisfy statutory requirements as a Chemical worker and Noise worker. Be a team player. Work overtime as and when required. Identify deficiencies and implement actions required to ensure systems and equipment are clean.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

KEY KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Knowledge of plant operation procedures and work instructions. Knowledge plant safety requirements. Knowledge of SHEQ and nuclear regulatory requirements.

COMPETENCIES

Self-driven. Results Orientation. Safety Orientation Customer Service Orientation. Problem Solving. Trust & Credibility Must be willing to work as shift worker and work overtime.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

:


Grade 12 certificate or Equivalent. Valid Driver's License. One (1) year experience in similar production plants
