Our client that has a public-private partnership with the City of Cape Town is currently looking for a Night Shift Security Manager to join their team in Cape TownPosition: Night Shift Security ManagerLocation: Cape TownJob Type: PermanentSkills Required:

Minimum Qualifying Criteria:

• PSIRA registered grade A
• 5 Years Experience in security management in an Urban Environment
• SAPS or Law Enforcement experience will be an advantage (experience in security management should be non- negotiable as it differs vastly from SAPS, Law Enforcement duties)
• Code EB drivers license

Roles and Responsibilities:Build relations to gain assistance from the following role players:

• South African Police Services
• Metro Police
• Law Enforcement
• Cyclops
• Traffic

Monitors and coordinates the activities of the outsourced Security Service Provider.

• Interact daily with the Night shift Management team. Provide guidance and assistance to the management team regarding new crime trends, preventative strategies, deployment, and operations.
• Analyse the available crime statistics and crime trends and plan preventative actions (operations and redeployment of officers)
• Do daily checks on the Service provider's Control Room, vehicles, and equipment.
• Deployment coverage and any short postings.
• Compliance and transgressions of security staff deployed; Control Room Operators, Shift Manager, Precinct Commanders, Mobile drivers, Public Safety Officers & any other service staff.
• Be alerted to drinking on duty, under the influence of alcohol/drugs on duty, sleeping on duty, officers using a cell phone, extended lunch/toilet breaks & post desertions.
• Check the radio control room and operator at SAPS.
• Check on event deployment.
• Co-ordinate and monitor that planned operations with our partners in law enforcement are executed and reports are being completed.
• Monitor service delivery and timeous response to concerns raised by stakeholders, businesses, public members, and Client.
• Assist with event coverage planning.
• Compile a report at the end of each shift and forward it to management.

Monitors and coordinates the activities of the outsourced Cleaning Services (Sundays to Tuesdays/Subject to change).

• Meet with the Cleaning Services manager or supervisor to confirm deployment and discuss any issues.
• Take photos and report on any Urban related issues and collection of rubbish bags (part of the night report). The report will include:

• Night shift deployment of Cleaning Services
• Non- conformances
• Illegal dumping and damaged bags
• Collection of rubbish bags during the night
• Major defects such as traffic lights not working, burst water pipes, etc
• Defects identified such as potholes, graffiti, etc

Monitors and coordinates the activities of contracted Law Enforcement Officers.

• Ensure full coverage of the agreed upon number of LEOs on shift by interacting with the Inspector/Senior Inspector/Principal Inspector/Regional Inspector and following up on any shortage of LEOs on duty.
• Build a professional relationship with all tiers of the Law Enforcement Management.
• Interact with the LEOs to maintain a working relationship with them.
• Monitor the work output of all LEOs designated by taking note of reports, incidents and conversations relating to service delivery.
• Identify and resolve all concerns that might impact on the service delivery of the LEOs. (In agreement with the Security HOD).
• Report on the joint operations which happened during the night and include any successes.
