Job Summary

The New Business Development Manager will:
Reporting to xe2x80xa2 Head: Business Development

Job Purpose

To develop and maintain the Prescription pipeline sourced through in-licensing
from global suppliers.

Required Learning xe2x80xa2 Business / Marketing / Science Degree or Diploma

  • Relevant Business Development experience in a pharmaceutical company
Key Job Outputs xe2x80xa2 Develop a network of international suppliers via attendance at trade shows, internet
searches and follow up on email inquiries

Key Responsibilities;
  • Analyse trends in new products, new molecules, new ingredients, and new disease
states to identify future potential/gaps for the Prescription portfolio.
  • Identify products/strategic suppliers/acquire dossiers to fit the gaps identified in the
category & brand strategies for launch
  • Develop a business plan that provides a commercial argument (financial &
resource modeling) for the launch of the identified product via in-source by working
with the relevant supplier and the respective brand team.
  • Complete the legal and commercial documentation required to source the identified
product.
  • Analyse and review local and international markets, trends, and data to assess
the attractiveness of current and future categories/therapeutic classes.
  • Work with legal teams to build the landscape of products on patent and develop
strategies to launch products within the patent landscape.
