Purpose of the position:
The M&E Officer will be responsible for the day-to-day implementation of the SR Monitoring & Evaluation system, ensuring that programme data captured through DHIS2 using the MobiEMR application are accurate, complete, timely, consistent, and verifiable
Minimum Requirements
Matric Certificate
Bachelor's degree in: Monitoring & Evaluation, Public Health, Social Sciences, Statistics, Information Systems or a related field
Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in Monitoring & Evaluation or Health or HIV programme data management or DHIS2-based reporting environments
Experience in conducting M&E trainings
Practical experience with DHIS2 is an advantage
Experience working on Global Fund-supported programmes, AGYW or HIV prevention programmes would be advantageous
Experience supporting audits or DQA assessments
Knowledge of POPIA and data confidentiality principles
Experience using electronic data capture systems (e.g. MobiEMR or similar)
Strong understanding of data quality dimensions (accuracy, completeness, timeliness, consistency, integrity)
Ability to conduct routine data verification and DQA
Ability to analyse programme data and identify trends and anomalies
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (filters, pivots, basic analysis)
Valid Driver's License essential
Clear criminal record
Ability to travel when required
Duties and Responsibilities
Maintaining high data quality standards
Implementing routine data quality assurance (DQA)
Supporting data use for decision-making
Preparing the SR for PR supervision visits and Global Fund audits
Support intervention staff to correctly record services delivered using approved tools and MobiEMR
Monitor end-to-end data flow from service delivery to DHIS2 analytics
Verify accuracy between MobiEMR records and source documents
Support and monitor data capture using authorised devices and user accounts
* Ensure source documents are filed, scanned, named, and stored according to SR SOPs
