Job Description

The M&E officer will support the implementation of the Foundation's Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Framework and Theory of Change by coordinating data collection, validation, analysis, and reporting across all programmes and organisational efficiency areas. The role ensures data accuracy, consistency, and timely reporting to inform evidence-based decision making, programme improvement and donor accountability.

Key Performance Areas



Data Management and Quality Assurance



Support the rollout of the organisational M&E data management system, tools, and processes. Coordinate data collection from programme teams and departments according to approved indicators and reporting templates. Conduct data verification, cleaning, and validation to ensure quality and consistency across all data sources. Maintain the central M&E database and indicator tracking tools. Generate regular summary tables, dashboards, and progressupdates for management review.

Monitoring and Reporting



Track performance against indicators across programmes and organisational departments. Prepare quarterly and annual M&E progress reports based on verified data and inputs from departments. Support the development of dashboards and data visualisations using tools such as Power BI or Excel. Provide feedback to departments on data quality, completeness, and performance trends.

Evaluation and Learning



Assist with the design and coordination of evaluations, assessments, and surveys. Compile evaluation findings and lessons learned to support evidence-based programme improvement. Participate in quarterly learning and reflection sessions with programme teams. Document case studies, outcome stories, and qualitative insights that demonstrate programme results and learning.

Capacity Building and Support



Provide guidance and technical support to departments on M&E tools, indicator definitions, and reporting requirements. Train programme and departmental staff on data collection and reporting procedures. Support the institutionalisation of a culture of data-driven decision-making and learning.

Compliance and Accountability



Ensure all M&E activities align with donor requirements, organisational policies, and data protection standards. Maintain an organised archive of M&E documents, datasets, and reports for audit and reference purposes. Support external audits, donor reviews, and Board reporting through validated M&E evidence.

Reporting



Compile quarterly monitoring and evaluation reports Record, analyse and distribute statistical information Compile the impact assessment report Compile and present analytical and consolidated monitoring and evaluation reports twice a year (June and November).

Education, Skills, and Experience



Degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, Social Science, Developmental Studies, Statistics, Education or related qualification 1-2 years' experience in monitoring and evaluating programmes in the non-profit sector. Demonstrated experience in supporting M&E frameworks, indicator tracking, and reporting systems. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel essential; Power BI advantage). Understanding of both quantitative and qualitative data collection methods. Strong communication and writing skills; ability to translate data into clear insights and reports. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
