Medical Secretary - Cape TownOur client, a specialised dentistry practice in the upmarket suburb of Upper Claremont, is seeking to recruit a Medical Secretary. The ideal candidate will be compassionate and discrete with superb time management and record-keeping skills.This is a frontline role which entails ~ welcoming patients and visitors, answering the telephone and answering any inquiries. Scheduling appointments and keep those appointments on time. Assisting patients with completing necessary forms and documentation.General:Working hours are Monday to FridayMonday to Thursday 7.30am xe2x80x93 5pmFriday 8am xe2x80x93 4pmAvailability to start immediately (or within two weeks)Salary to be discussed at interview stage (please submit your last payslip when applying)Requirements:Diary and appointment managementMeeting and welcoming patientsLiaising with patientsFillingAnswering incoming callsCreating patient filesManaging patient flowScanning and uploading of documentationAssisting with follow ups or rescheduling of appointmentsEnsure the smooth and effective functioning of the practiceEnsure reception area is tidy and presentableGeneral administrationMaintain efficient patient serviceMaintain confidentiality of all doctors, staff and patient informationQualification:MatricAt least 2 years experience at a healthcare facility in a medical secretary role (essential).Skills and attributes:Interpersonal and organizational skillsFriendly warm and well spokenEnglish and Afrikaans speakingHardworkingBasic computer knowledge
