MECHATRONIC TECHNICIAN (Contract position)

Northwest, Limpopo, and Mpumalanga (more than one position at several sites across SA)

6-month Contract - Renewable

Original equipment and machine manufacture to mechanize mines and other industrial sites.
Positions in Northwest, Limpopo, and Mpumalanga (more than one position at several sites across SA)

Capital Equipment Supplier for the Mining Sector. The company does Trackless Mining and Underground Mining Equipment. Mechatronic Technician required to assist at Client sites in the mines.

The ideal applicant will assist with Machine Control Systems installation, commissioning, and general electro-mechanical Faultfinding to ensure equipment has been installed correctly.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a highly technical environment.

Qualification:
National Diploma/B-Tech in Mechatronic Engineering or similar with relevant experience
Valid Drivers license

Required skills and experience:
Good communication skills.
Must be an independent worker.
Good understanding of MS Office products
Basic understanding of hydraulic control circuits
Basic understanding of auto-electric control circuits
Understanding of digital control systems
Excellent communication and good teamwork skills
Ability to work under pressure.
Own transport

Beneficial experience:
1-5 Years experience within a manufacturing or service environment
Experience in PLC programming
Ideally have some skills in HMI.
Understanding of CAN bus systems
Must have good proven Electro-hydraulic experience.

Key Areas of Responsibility:
Updating and improvement of current control software
Hands-on work at the mines on machine-specific diagnostic interface programs
Commissioning and fault finding on new machines.
Installation of new Machines.
