The University of the Western Cape is seeking to appoint a Specialist: Marketing and Branding. The individual will report directly to the Manager: Media, Marketing & Communications, the specialist will be responsible for providing an efficient and professional marketing and brand service within the Integrated Media and Communications Strategy including the consistent use of the UWC and related brands. The incumbent will execute branding and marketing functions and activities related to the enhancement of the University's standing and brand profile as per the University branding policy and guidelines.

The appointee's duties will include, but not be limited to the execution of the following tasks:

• Initiating, implementing and managing strategic branding and marketing campaigns
• Initiating and implementing brand activation initiatives
• Co-ordinating service provider relationships and outputs
• Developing annual plans and working within annual budgets
• Co-ordinating multiple internal and external market surveys and marketing campaigns
• Co-ordinating and tracking online paid for advertising and media campaigns
• Coordinating multiple stakeholder marketing and brand activities across the University

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Requirements (Qualification and Experience)

• A relevant Honours Degree or equivalent qualification at an NQF Level 8.
• At least five years' experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
• At least 3 years management/supervision experience.
