The University of the Western Cape is seeking to appoint a Coordinator: Webmaster who will primarily be responsible to oversee the organisation, design, and functionality of content generated for the University's website by Institutional Advancement. The Webmaster will ensure the coordinated development, communication, and implementation of web projects, policies, and procedures within Institutional Advancement, collaborates with all departments, faculties and units at the University and web users to understand and meet the information needs of various stakeholders at the University.

The appointee's duties will include, but not be limited to the execution of the following tasks:

  • Assuming responsibility for Institutional Advancement's web functions
  • Monitoring, evaluation and generating reports of web activity and traffic
  • Adhering to University web policies and protocols
  • Coordinating web projects with stakeholders
  • Ensuring optimal look, feel, responsiveness and usability of the website
  • Ensuring that headlines and keywords promote SEO and meta-messaging
Minimum Requirements

Minimum Requirements (Qualification and Experience)
  • A relevant Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification at an NQF Level 7.
  • At least five years' relevant experience in web page conceptualisation, design and content development.
  • A portfolio of previous work
