Managing areas of responsibility within the Legal & Compliance Department through the sound application of Performance Management Principles and Objectives, Key Performance Indicators and Development and Training Plans.
Reviewing, commenting on, drafting and finalising various commercial agreements ranging from goods/services being provided, building agreements, sponsorships/trade exchanges, training, funding/grants, loans, sales, etc.
Supporting internal business areas by providing legal and business advice and support to ensure compliance with Organisational Directives and legislation.
Remaining abreast of relevant legal developments to create awareness, ensuring internal compliance, providing training in relation to significant legislation, ensuring timeous reporting to the Board of Management.
Participating in specialist committees (such as Risk Management Steering Committees).
Represent VWSA at the National Association of Automotive Manufacturers of South Africa Legal Forum.
Overseeing and managing litigation/alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
Supporting the Company Secretary and Integrity, Risk & Compliance Officer.
Identifying requirements and providing training on relevant fields of law.
Supporting training department when developing training modules.
Supporting the Volkswagen Group with all matters administered by the Group in South Africa.
Acting as office of record in relation to legal matters.
