Project Manager - Insulation Services/FPP (Gauteng)

The list of responsibilities below is not intended to be exhaustive. Other tasks or duties may be assigned from time to time that are within the capabilities of the job incumbent.
  • Sheet Metal Project in the Head Office workshop to meet the requirements of the organization.
  • Co-ordination between internal and external customers.
  • Planning and co-ordination of Project activities to ensure financial success of the project.
  • Promote LEAN activities for the Inpact Project. 5S lighthouse example for other sites.
  • Productivity reporting. Return monthly hours/Mxc2xb2 on a cumulative basis.
  • Ensure that the Mabi Assets are maintained in accordance with manufacturer requirements.
  • Cost analysis R/Mxc2xb2 to be reported monthly
  • Develop and Maintain product catalog in good order.
  • Logistics of material co-ordination and final product delivery to customer.
  • Other duties as required relating to industrial metals manufacturing and Project and equipment, plant maintenance
  • Assistance with on job scoping as may be required from time to time to ensure that the correct solutions are manufactured. Including fabrication drawing and requisite standards.
  • Ad hoc facilities and equipment maintenance
  • Appointment to HSE Head Office safety committee.
  • HSE responsibilities as required by the Company and act.


General Project Management duties as detailed below:
  • Supervise the Project teams on a daily basis to ensure the optimum safe use of labour and materials is maintained, in order to meet the overall requirements of the contract.
  • Allocate duties to workers and ensure teams are made up of suitably qualified and experienced employees.
  • Liaise with Material Controller to ensure work is planned and carried out in the most efficient way. The right material for the job at the right place and right
  • Instruct and guide employees relative to the safe uses of tools, materials and equipment as necessary to prepare and carry out work packages as
  • Responsible for the Order to Invoice process. Ensure all work requests from the client are satisfactorily completed and liaise with the Site Manager, Boiler Manager, Planner and Scaffold Controller to keep up to date with information and planning
  • Ensure that all current health and safety standards and procedures are understood, maintained and adhered to at all
  • Provide correct information to the planner for the calculation of productivity and time management in line with management
  • Ensure all documentation / reports are accurately completed within the time scales laid
  • Check work for quality standards, Project and legal
  • Calculate work, including providing estimates and pre-measures to assist the planner with resource
  • Organize special material
  • Monitor employee attendance and timekeeping as well as conduct return to work interviews and operate within company policy and
  • Establish records of Daily Labour and Material utilization and report schedules

  • Carry out 'safety walks' on a regular basis
  • Report any incidents or accidents, including any near misses to safety officer or immediate line manager, in order that these may be

  • Market knowledge and intelligence especially in cladding, sheeting, HVAC, like mechanical structural prefabrication silencers and other industrial infrastructure.
  • Responsible for sales pipeline for prefabrication and meeting sales targets.
The Project Manager reports to the Head of Operations and is required to be open, trustworthy, reliable, loyal and responsible.

Professional engineering/industrial qualification 3+ Years NQF Level 6 or above N.Dip whereas degreed professional an advantage.

3+ years on the job experience in an industrial Project environment in a managerial capacity.

Healthy and fit for site activities

Hold a Code 8 license and responsible own transport to work
