Job Description

The Nurture Health Group requires a Maintenance Technician who will be based at our Nurture Worcester Hospital site. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for assisting the project management team in the completion of the site and thereafter form part of the hospitals interdisciplinary team for day-to-day maintenance requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in performing routine maintenance and repair tasks throughout the hospital premises, including electrical, plumbing, VRV, solar, heat pump and HVAC systems
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and identify potential issues
• Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies promptly, addressing any issues efficiently to minimize disruption to hospital operations
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs and preventative maintenance schedules
• Assist in the installation and maintenance of equipment
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures while carrying out maintenance tasks
• Collaborate with other staff members regarding maintenance provide support as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized work are and ensure proper storage of tools and equipment
• Stay updated on the latest maintenance techniques and industry trends through ongoing training and professional development

• Technical qualification and training in a relevant field advantageous
• Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar maintenance role, preferably within a healthcare or hospital setting
• Solid knowledge of electrical, plumbing, VRV, solar, heat pump and HVAC systems, as well as general maintenance practices
• Familiarity with hand and power tools used in maintenance and repair work
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
• Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and perform tasks that require bending, stooping and climbing
• Own transport
• Must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccination by date of hire to be considered. Proof of vaccination required.
