Capital Budget and Expenditure

• Compile Annual Capital Budget for your respective branches.
• Plan for capital expenditure as budgeted and liaise with the relevant branch manager.
• Apply for Capital expenditure on the system.
• Oversee correct completion of Project within budget and pan.
• Capitalization of all capitals expenditure on completion

Warehouse Mechanical Audits and Reporting

• Plan Annual Audits for all your respective branches.
• Carry out Annual Warehouse Maintenance Audit with full reporting.
• Report to Branches about findings on Audit and compile a report for the GM Distribution.
• Guide branch in obtaining required results and asset with a corrective active program.
• Application of knowledge on Warehouses, Building Structures and SHEQ in audits.

Refrigeration.

• Application of in-depth knowledge of industry refrigeration, cold rooms and cold chain.
• Oversee that Branches stay in Temp Policy guidelines
• Assist Branches on support in Danfoss operation and fault finding.
• Assist Branches where Temps deviate in solving problems
• Communicate with various service suppliers and obtaining quotes for Capital repairs
• Negotiating service levels and costing with the refrigeration service providers.
• Working collaboratively with external contractors and managing contractors

Computerised Maintenance Management System

• Setup branch equipment ID's
• Setup and scheduling of Planned maintenance
• Compile detailed schedules for each Service Item
• Ensure that all capitalised Assets are listed on the maintenance system if applicable.

Technical Support

• Support and advise Branches on day to day Maintenance problems.
• Building effective relationships and communicating clearly with the Distribution operational team and managing expectations where necessary.
• Supporting the SHEQ department with Safety and product quality related issues.
• Support all Distribution branches on energy savings initiatives.
• Assist the branches during the RISK insurance audits and in resolving all their findings.
• Interpretation and understanding of plans and specifications, schematic
• Manage the repairs of MHE, warehouse building and other services.

Warehouse design & development

• Application of draughting knowledge in the principles of engineering in all designs.
• Support and Advise All Distribution Branches on warehouse upgrades.
• Working closely with the architectural team and branches on the SMP process.
• Assist in developing warehouse plans, racking layout and construction drawings
• Ensure that all buildings comply with the building construction regulations.
• Working collaboratively with external contractors and managing contractors.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Trade Tested Millwright with at least 10 years post-qualification experience
• Relevant experience in applying job related concepts, techniques and processes at the required level
• Mechanical & Refrigeration competency
• Adhere to Safety/ Food Safety Regulations
• Building Maintenance experience
• Competency using Computerised Maintenance Management System
• CAD training proof or certificate.
• Experience working in a Distribution Operation environment
• Experience working with senior management
• Professional registration
• Business English: Fluent
• Computer literacy (Advanced)
• Code 08 Driver's license
