As a Logistics Consultant, you will be responsible for identifying and contacting prospective customers and suppliers. You will negotiate sales deals and rates with customers and suppliers while ensuring that budget and margin targets are met. You will proactively communicate with suppliers to transport goods effectively and efficiently to customers.

The ideal candidate for this role should have at least 2-4 years of experience in a similar role within the transport industry and preferably have a relevant qualification (degree or diploma). Responsibilities:

• Building and maintaining relationships with new and existing clients, including regular visits.
• Negotiating new contracts.
• Negotiate transport rates with clients and transporters.
• Manage volumes allocated to the company.
• Understand the running cost of a vehicle to determine CPKxe2x80x99s.
• Analyse commodity trends and adapt to market fluctuations.
• Keep track of the daily and monthly budgets.
• Adding new clients and transporters to our existing book.
