JOB DESCRIPTION:





This entry-level academic lecturing position in an academic department of a faculty, contributes to learning & research objectives, through: The provision of input into curriculum designs & development, inclusive of implementation Participating in academic department decision making committees Lecturing, teaching & promoting students (both undergraduate & postgraduates) for selected modules in curricula/programs Assisting with/responsible for correct & accurate academic administration student data within the academic scope Collaborating in research initiatives Participates in mentorship programs and furthers own competencies within the academic project Participating in community engagement initiatives in alignment with social responsibility & scholarly engagement goals Publishing research within institutional criteria & requirements Supervising postgraduate research within the academic rank of lecturer (Honours/Masters research)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:



A relevant accounting qualification at PGD/ Honours level Registration with a professional accounting body At least 1 year experience in higher education or Qualification/courses in higher education teaching and learning Undergraduate teaching experience in accounting specialization areas which include Taxation, Auditing, Management Accounting, and Financial Management Research publications or successful supervision or successful research grant funding



ADDITIONAL ADVANTAGES:



Registered for a Master's Degree, Previously taught at a SAICA-endorsed programme, delivering courses aligned with professional accounting standards and competencies.
