JOB DESCRIPTION:
This entry-level academic lecturing position in an academic department of a faculty, contributes to learning & research objectives, through: * The provision of input into curriculum designs & development, inclusive of implementation * Participating in academic department decision making committees * Lecturing, teaching & promoting students (both undergraduate & postgraduates) for selected modules in curricula/programs * Assisting with/responsible for correct & accurate academic administration student data within the academic scope * Collaborating in research initiatives * Participates in mentorship programs and furthers own competencies within the academic project * Participating in community engagement initiatives in alignment with social responsibility & scholarly engagement goals * Publishing research within institutional criteria & requirements * Supervising postgraduate research within the academic rank of lecturer (Honours/Masters research)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • A relevant accounting qualification at PGD/ Honours level
  • Registration with a professional accounting body
  • At least 1 year experience in higher education or Qualification/courses in higher education teaching and learning
  • Undergraduate teaching experience in accounting specialization areas which include Taxation, Auditing, Management Accounting, and Financial Management
  • Research publications or successful supervision or successful research grant funding
