Laboratory Assistant

for a fixed term period of 12 (twelve) months to join our team.

Primary Job Purpose

Perform routine laboratory tasks

Job Specific Duties and Responsibilities

Receipt and handling of samples Archiving and storage of processed samples Archiving and storage of relevant documentation Performing general laboratory duties Use and maintenance of relevant equipment Updating of project tracking sheets Assist in monitoring stock levels Preparation of chemicals/reagents/media

Qualification, Training and Experience Requirements

Grade 12 A Degree in Natural or Biological Science will be advantageous 1 years' relevant working experience

Specific skills and abilities required

Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Outlook, MS Teams, and Office 365 Ability to work independently and be part of a team Attention to detail Excellent problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
