Junior Technical Buyer

Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in sourcing and procurement of components from suppliers
- Updating of inventory and spare parts list
- Plan route for timeous collections and deliveries
- Assist with installation of new equipment, furniture, racks, etc.
- Manage Engineering float and do petty cash purchases
- Assist with maintenance tasks where needed
Qualification:
- N6/Trade Test/Technical Diploma-Electrical /Electronics engineering or equivalent
- 2 years within the electronic design and assembly or electronic procurement environment
- Computer Literate, must have good working knowledge of spreadsheets, word processing and general use of Computer
- EB drivers license (B driver's license accepted)
- Knowledge of electronic circuitry
- Procurement processes and public procurement regulations
- Knowledge of inventory control
- Background of engineering materials, practices and concepts covering electronic, electric, radio frequency and mechanical principles
- Knowledge of PFMA and related procurement regulations
- Attention to detail
- Planning and Organising
- Soldering -surface mount and through hole
- Use of basic hand tools-electric and mechanical
- Working on Heights
- Electronic fault finding
- Numeracy
- Analysing and interpreting
