Job Description
Job Summary We are a specialist Health and Safety consultancy serving the construction industry. We are currently seeking a Junior Safety Officer for night shift work on a project based in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town. Minimum Requirements: Must be registered with SACPCMP as a Candidate/ Full Safety Officer Must have own transport and accommodation Must be available to work night shifts ONLY. Experience with roofing projects and working at heights is essential Familiarity with the Construction Regulations (2014) and general OHS Act (85 of 1993) compliance Key Responsibilities: Conduct routine night shift site inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety standards Monitor high-risk activities, particularly roof work and working at heights, ensuring fall protection plans and safety protocols are adhered to. Report and investigate any safety incidents or near misses that occur during the shift. Ensure that safety signage, barricading, and access controls remain in place and effective throughout the night.Liaise with site management and workers to promote a strong safety culture.Maintain and update safety documentation, including daily safety tasks, toolbox talks, and checklists. Enforce compliance with PPE requirements and other critical safety procedures.
