Job Description

The key purpose of the Junior Business Analyst role is to identify, develop and implement solutions specifically within the Terminals Business to enable business processes and to drive effective adoption of these solutions, to ensure business goals are met. The role consists of Terminals technology enablement, and encompasses appropriate market research, information flows, compliance, dashboarding, adoption and transparency - with the objective of providing a cohesive and consistent, first-world customer experience across all CSB warehouses.

Translate Terminals business requirements into solution requirements Assist in conducting research on software products to meet agreed-upon requirements and to support purchasing efforts Work with business teams to understand operational, tactical and strategic solution options Identify solutions to meet business requirements that satisfy agreed cost, quality and priority constraints Plan the delivery of solutions considering all implementation aspects (development, testing, integration, data migration, security, change management, training, and roll out/cutover)

Translate conceptual user requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers and service providers Analyze and verify requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards Create process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers and/or the project team Develop and conduct peer reviews of business requirements to ensure that requirement specifications are correctly interpreted Configure/develop required solution components Effectively testing the solution (unit, functional, and integrated testing, as well as facilitating UAT) Managing/Working with third party solution providers to deliver required solutions and solution components Participate in the roll-out and implementation of enabling solutions Developing/managing the development of reports and dashboards for the Terminals business units/divisions, within the information management framework Ensuring solutions meet business requirements

Ensure ongoing operational support

Provide support for implemented solutions (including incident management, enhancement delivery) Ensure positive user adoption Managing third party solution providers Work closely with service providers to ensure queries are resolved within agreed-upon service levels Identify recurring solutions issues/bottlenecks and manage the appropriate resulting problem resolution Support Terminals end users during the roll-out of new processes and supply other ad-hoc support. Ensure that the user access profiles are appropriate and maintained, including a documented matrix in support of the security rules and risk Planning of and facilitation of training to all end users, including the creation of training documentation as part of solution implementations Maintain required system and solution artefacts (including system, testing, training, user guide, configuration, and architecture documentation) Guiding and supporting users where functional/operational processes require improvement Reporting irregularities in the operation and/or performance of the solution

Education

Matric - Grade 12 Bachelor's degree in IT, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or related field

Experience

--------------


3 years' experience as business analyst experience in Terminals, Supply Chain and Logistics, or related fields

Technical Skills

--------------------


Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office product suite Good working knowledge of Python, SQL and Data visualization Working experience in JSON API structures Must be self-motivated, proactive, methodical, and performance-driven Strong organisational and time management skills Excellent verbal and written communication High level of numeracy Excellent interpersonal and people management skills (ability to work with all levels of business units/divisions/regions) Ability to clarify and focus on customer requirements Critical thinking & strong analytical skills to facilitate problem solving Ability to work under pressure System Analysis & Development (including Agile and Project Management) Business process understanding (Terminals, Warehouse Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain, Procurement)
