Job Description

Our Client, a well known name in the Property Management sector, is seeking to employ a Junior Bookkeeper to their team based in Mill Park, Port Elizabeth.
Requirements:

• Minimum of three years' general accounting experience, either in a public accounting firm or a private corporate environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
• Retail and FMCG industry experience is desirable but not mandatory.
• Previous exposure to commercial accounting with multiple entities is advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A self-starter who shows initiative and works independently when required.
• Highly detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
• Proven ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Familiarity with accounting software and financial reporting programs.

Responsibilities, but not limited to:

• Manage and maintain fixed asset registers and records.
• Perform VAT calculations, reconciliations, submissions, and load payments onto banking software.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and complete balance sheet reconciliations.
• Manage salary control account reconciliations.
• Ensure accurate recording and reconciliation of intercompany loans.
• Balance interbranch transfers and resolve variances.
• Maintain the accuracy of accounts and ensure up-to-date processing in ledgers.
• Collaborate with finance team members to prepare management accounts by set deadlines.
• Perform variance analysis and prepare account reconciliations.
• Compile and present financial reports as required.
• Assist the Group CFO with forecasting reports and financial planning.
