We are seeking a motivated Junior to Intermediate

IT Support Technician

for a short-term contract to assist with a range of hands-on technical and infrastructure tasks. This role will focus on tidying, documenting, and supporting our existing IT and network environment, with some end-user support over the December period when core staff are on leave.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conduct audits of existing network infrastructure, cameras, and connected equipment to ensure accurate records and optimal configuration.

Tidy and organize network and power cabling in the warehouse, server room, and related areas to improve accessibility and safety.

Create clear diagrams and documentation of the current IT infrastructure, including network topology and device locations.

Provide general IT support to staff as required primarily during December holiday coverage including troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues.

Assist with light cabling tasks such as running, labeling, or terminating network cables under supervision.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

1-3 years of experience in IT support or a related technical field.

Good understanding of basic networking concepts (switches, routers, IP addressing, etc.).

Familiarity with CCTV or camera network systems (basic knowledge sufficient).

Hands-on experience with cable management or physical IT setups.

Ability to create simple network diagrams.

Strong attention to detail and willingness to perform practical, on-site tasks.

Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
