The IT Graduate will provide technical support under the guidance of the IT administrators staff in the department and the AMEP Project Manager , assist with system administration tasks, and contribute to ongoing improvement of the organisation's digital tools, MIS, data integrity, and technology infrastructure. Principal Accountabilities
IT Support & Troubleshooting
Provide support to staff on hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
Set up and configure laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals for employees.
Systems Administration
Assist with account creation, user access control, and permission changes.
Support routine system maintenance (updates, backups, patching).
Monitor basic system performance and flag potential issues to the IT Administrators
Help maintain shared drives, collaboration tools, and internal platforms.
Data & Reporting Support
Assist with data extraction, cleaning, and basic analysis for reports.
Provide support with troubleshooting issues on internal systems or dashboards.
Conduct routine quality checks on data inputs and highlight inconsistencies.
Cybersecurity & Compliance
Apply basic cybersecurity practices, including monitoring for suspicious activity and ensuring devices meet security standards.
Support IT audits and compliance checks (password controls, backups, user access).
Educate staff on safe technology use and data protection policies.
Project & Administration Support
Contribute to IT projects such as system rollouts, software implementations, or upgrades.
Assist in creating training materials, user guides, and process documentation.
Maintain inventory of IT supplies and coordinate with vendors and SAA as shared service providers where required.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree or National Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
Prior internship or practical experience is advantageous but not required.
Basic knowledge of hardware, software, networking, and cloud-based systems.
Familiarity with collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Slack/Teams).
