ABOUT THE ROLE

The Market Research Intern supports the delivery of research projects and assists in managing relationships with research partners. This role offers hands-on experience in coordinating research activities, contributing to data collection and analysis, and applying agency exposure to client-focused initiatives, making it an excellent opportunity for someone eager to grow their career in market research and customer insights.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Support the planning and delivery of market research projects from brief to final output. Assist with project timelines, coordination and basic budget tracking. Support the management of relationships with research agencies and fieldwork partners. Assist with the design of surveys, questionnaires and discussion guides. Set up surveys on research platforms and assist with quality control checks. Support data collection and ensure accuracy and completeness of data. Assist with data analysis and preparation of insight reports and presentations. Work closely with senior team members and internal stakeholders to understand research needs. Help track customer sentiment, trends and key performance indicators. Ensure research processes align with data quality standards and POPIA requirements.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Qualifications and Experience

A relevant tertiary qualification in Market Research, Marketing, Statistics, Social Science or a related field. No formal work experience required; Internship, academic projects or practical exposure will be advantageous. Basic understanding of quantitative and qualitative research methods. Introductory knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods.

Great to have:

Exposure to retail, FMCG or customer experience research. Familiarity with survey platforms and basic data analysis tools. Exposure to NPS, CSAT or brand tracking studies.
