Job Summary
Responsibilities:
Exports:
- Coordinate full export process for sea and air shipments.
- Ensure all bookings are made with carriers and freight forwarders.
- Track vessels, schedules and update clients/internal teams accordingly.
- Handles Customs Clearance.
- Prepare and submit export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant export regulations and Incoterms.
- Liaise with clearing agents, transporters, and customers to ensure on-time delivery and loading.
- Submit import documentation to relevant authorities including Port Health, State Vet, and Department of Agriculture.
- Monitor vessel ETAs and track incoming shipments.
- Coordinate customs clearance processes with clearing agents.
- Follow up on delays or documentation delays.
- Ensure alignment with all import regulations and trade compliance requirements.
- Liaise with suppliers, warehouse, and internal teams.
- Matric (Grade 12) - Essential
- 5-6 years' proven experience in sea and air freight forwarding (imports and exports)
- Valid driver's license and own reliable transport
- Strong knowledge of customs processes, Incoterms, and freight documentation
- Excellent coordination and communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
