Job Description

We are seeking an experienced HR and Office Manager within the Construction (consulting sector) on a contract position. This dual-role position will be pivotal in managing our human resources functions while ensuring efficient day-to-day office operations. Based in Centurion

He/she will lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) and ensure the office's effective administration.

Tasks:
Human Resources
Handle the full life cycle of the recruitment and selection function from posting vacant positions,
screening, short-listing, conducting interviews, reference and other background
Maintain and update the filling of HR files
Ensure complaints of the company with the labour legislation and other relevant complaints requirements
Prepare new employees through onboarding and training programs.
Establish and maintain complete and up-to-date employee personnel files to ensure compliance with South African employment laws
Maintaining, reviewing and developing job descriptions for all positions
Review and update human resource policies and procedures in line with legislation
Conducting periodic pay surveys; and implementing pay structure revisions
Maintain employee benefits (Medical Aid and Provident fund)
Compile payroll and reconciliation of leave every month
Managing the training of Greenfield including training needs analysis, planning training, scheduling
training (Internal and external), and ensuring the submissions of the Annual Workplace Skills Plan
(WSP) and ATR

Office Manager
Oversee the effective administering of the office (Office equipment, supplies and cleaning services)
Develop an annual calendar for the organizations and ensure all the activities are included (Staff
meetings, performance management meetings, compliance, teambuilding, training, CSI events and
marketing events)
Manages and controls departmental expenditure
Ensure adherence to the ISO standards
Maintains office efficiency by planning and implementing office policies and procedures.
Minimum Educational Qualifications:
Degree in Human Resources Management or related
Minimum Previous Experience:
At least 3 to 5 years in a similar role
Previous experience in construction will be an added advantage.

Minimum Additional Training and/or Registrations:
SABPP, IPM or other related bodies are optional
Other Skills:

Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
Strong administration & computer literacy skills
Verbal and written communication skills
Proven management experience
Planning and Organisational skills
Handing disciplinary issues
Payroll experience (Sage pastel payroll)
