Hospitality Hire has partnered with a leading 4 star hotel in Cape Town that is redefining comfort and service excellence in the city's vibrant hospitality scene.
We are seeking a Reception Shift Leader who embodies warmth, professionalism, and precision, ensuring that every guest interaction at the front desk is more than just a transaction but the beginning of a memorable stay.
This is a newly created position designed to support the hotel's exciting journey of growth and transformation.
Preference will be given to Cape Town based applicants.
What We're Looking For We're searching for a hospitality professional who leads with confidence, empathy, and an eye for detail.
The ideal candidate will have:

• A valid South African ID
• Matric certificate (Grade 12)
• A hospitality qualification (advantageous)
• Minimum 2 years of Front Office Supervisory or Reception Shift Leader experience in a 4 or 5 star hotel
• Opera PMS experience (essential)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a polished, professional appearance
• Confidence in managing guest enquiries, feedback, and complaints with empathy and efficiency
• Strong organisational ability and attention to detail
• Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
• A calm and motivating leadership style with a collaborative team first approach

What You'll Do

• Lead the front office team to deliver smooth, welcoming service from check in to check out
• Manage daily lobby operations and guest flow with professionalism and efficiency
• Handle guest queries and resolve service challenges with care and confidence
• Mentor and motivate the front desk team to uphold brand standards
• Collaborate closely with Housekeeping, Reservations, and Food & Beverage to ensure seamless guest experiences
• Maintain exceptional presentation and service standards across all front office areas
• Lead by example, inspiring a culture of warmth, precision, and genuine hospitality
