Our client, a luxury restaurant in the Cape Winelands, is looking for a professional Hostess to act as the first point of contact for guests and ensure an exceptional dining experience from arrival to departure. This role requires someone who is warm, organised, and confident in dealing with an international and distinguished clientele.
The Hostess will be responsible for managing reservations, preparing floor plans for lunch and dinner service, and coordinating with the kitchen and service teams on menu changes and special requirements. Duties include welcoming and seating guests, providing menus, announcing servers, monitoring table availability, and ensuring smooth handovers between shifts. Additional responsibilities include answering calls, assisting with guest queries, and communicating VIP arrivals to management.

Grade 12; hospitality certificate advantageous
1-2 years' previous experience as a hostess in fine dining or luxury hospitality
Strong organisational and communication skills
Knowledge of reservation systems and restaurant etiquette
Professional, well-presented, and guest-focused
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
Resilient and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
