Job Description

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

Operation and maintenance of vehicle for the effective distribution/ delivery of stock to outlets.

VEHICLE OPERATION:

Core Tasks:

Perform general transportation.

Receive tasks from branch manager.

Ensure that the load is safely delivered on time to the correct destination.

Ensure that the load is properly secured on the vehicle.

Ensure that the relevant proof of delivery or reception of the load is signed off.

Ensure that traffic regulations are adhered to at all times.

Ensure that the invoices and fuel slips are handed in on a daily basis.

Ensure the correct tyre pressure according to the weight of the load on the vehicle.

Ensure that the vehicle's license disk is visible and valid.

Ensure safe handling and storage of vehicle,

Perform various ad hoc driving tasks.

VEHICLE MAINTENANCE:

Core Tasks:

Feedback.

Delivery Documents.

Invoices.

Fuel slips.

Accident Report.

DISTRIBUTION/DELIVERY OF STOCK:

Core Tasks:

Ensure that the correct amount of product and product type is loaded on the vehicle.

Collection of mail and parcels as needed.

Ensure that products are loaded and unloaded safely and correctly.

Always obtain proof of receipt of delivery with a signature.

Received cash should be deposited daily.

GENERAL STOCK:

Core Tasks:

Cleaning of vehicle.

Ad hoc support as required/ instructed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:

National Senior Certificate

Requirements:

1 Year Relevant Experience.
