Job Description
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The logistics, delivery and collection of material and equipment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB:
- Perform general transportation.
- Receive tasks from branch manager.
- Ensure that the load is safely delivered on time to the correct destination.
- Ensure that the load is properly secured on the vehicle.
- Ensure that the relevant proof of delivery or reception of the load is signed off.
- Ensure that traffic regulations are adhered to at all times.
- Ensure that the invoices and fuel slips are handed in on a daily basis.
- Ensure the correct tyre pressure according to the weight of the load on the vehicle.
- Ensure that the vehicle's license disk is visible and valid.
Ensure that the vehicle is road worthy in terms of maintenance and licensing
Assist with general ad hoc responsibilities
Provide ad hoc support as required/ instructed
Vehicle Maintenance
- Feedback
- Delivery documents
- Invoices
- Fuel slips
- Accident report
- National Senior Certificate.
- At least 3 years heavy vehicle driver experience
Kindly note that a consumer credit record will be requested in respect of all appointments which involve dealing with cash or finances.
