Job Description

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Operation and maintenance of vehicle for the effective distribution/ delivery of stock to outlets.
VEHICLE OPERATION:
Core Tasks:
-Perform general transportation.
-Receive tasks from branch manager.
-Ensure that the load is safely delivered on time to the correct destination.
-Ensure that the load is properly secured on the vehicle.
-Ensure that the relevant proof of delivery or reception of the load is signed off.
-Ensure that traffic regulations are adhered to at all times.
-Ensure that the invoices and fuel slips are handed in on a daily basis.
-Ensure the correct tyre pressure according to the weight of the load on the vehicle.
- Ensure that the vehicle's license disk is visible and valid.
-Ensure safe handling and storage of vehicle,
-Perform various ad hoc driving tasks.
VEHICLE MAINTENANCE:
Core Tasks:
-Feedback.
-Delivery Documents.
-Invoices.
-Fuel slips.
-Accident Report.
DISTRIBUTION/DELIVERY OF STOCK:
Core Tasks:
-Ensure that the correct amount of product and product type is loaded on the vehicle.
-Collection of mail and parcels as needed.
-Ensure that products are loaded and unloaded safely and correctly.
-Always obtain proof of receipt of delivery with a signature.
-Received cash should be deposited daily.
GENERAL STOCK:
Core Tasks:
-Cleaning of vehicle.
-Ad hoc support as required/ instructed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: National Senior Certificate
Requirements: 1 Year Relevant Experience.
