Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Mentorship:
+ Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of field guides to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
+ Facilitate skills development and performance feedback for all guiding staff.
Team Management & Scheduling:
+ Oversee daily guide scheduling and coordination of game drives, bush walks, and special activities.
+ Ensure adequate staffing for VIP and specialized excursions.
Standards & Compliance:
+ Uphold and enforce all safety protocols and ethical guiding practices.
+ Ensure guiding activities comply with FGASA, lodge, and conservation standards.
Guest Engagement:
+ Host VIP guests and manage specialized requests, including advanced tracking excursions.
+ Collaborate with lodge management to create unforgettable wildlife and nature experiences.
Conservation & Strategy:
* + Work closely with the conservation team to align guiding activities with environmental goals.
