JOB TITLE: Half-Day Bookkeeper
AREA: Roodepoort, Johannesburg
INDUSTRY: Branding
Salary / CTC: R 10 000 R 12 000 (depending on current earnings, qualifications and experience)
Report to: Director
Type: Permanent (Half Day)
Key Responsibilities:
- Full bookkeeping function, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
- Processing invoices, payments, and expense claims with precision.
- Bank reconciliations and monitoring cash flow.
- VAT calculations and submissions.
- Preparation of financial reports as required.
- Assisting with payroll processing and ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations.
- Liaising with auditors, tax authorities, and financial institutions when necessary.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records in Zoho Accounting.
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies
- Minimum 10 years experience in bookkeeping/accounting.
- Advanced proficiency in Zoho Accounting (non-negotiable).
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, VAT, and tax regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools.
- Ability to work efficiently within a half-day schedule.
