Control and utilise available manpower resources of the Warehouse Control Tower by directing the continuous work flow to Control Tower personnel as appropriate to ensure the optimum working capacity of the section.
Continuously analyse and monitor trends with regards to outbound deficiencies, determining possible causes to develop and introduce corrective action to meet delivery schedules.
Continuously guide, supervise and control the execution of order completion, non-standard processing and Warehouse Planning to identify bottlenecks and other deviations and re-adjust activities to address challenges/ problem areas in order to meet service level targets.
Develop reporting staff by the setting of work related objectives, appraising performance and behavior and where necessary, initiating / providing specialist training so as to maximize the potential of individuals within the section to maintain high levels of productivity and motivation.
Manage the Warehouse Control Tower workstations and equipment, planning / appropriating and procurement for future developments with the assistance and support of Systems specialists.
Determine and set appropriate KPIxe2x80x99s to monitor Control Tower operations. Implement corrective actions in conjunction with Supervision in affected areas to address deviations and ensure cut-off times are met. Present and report to Senior DC Management on KPI achievement (daily, weekly and monthly basis).
Develop processes for Control Tower team to effectively deal with queries from the Dealer Call Centre without same interrupting normal Control Centre tasks and duties. Establish controls to regularly monitor the status of Dealer queries. Responsible to directly address queries of a more complex nature.
Assist in the generation of the Organizational Guidelines, Procedures and Work instructions through liaison with other interfacing departments by assessing and recommending work instructions and providing the necessary training.
Ensure strict adherence to Occupational Health, Safety & Environmental standards and procedures by members of staff.
Assist the Manager Distribution Centers in the creation and maintenance of a climate conducive to industrial stability and peace.
Participate in the production of annual Distribution Centre budgets (overhead, capital and manpower)
Education and Experience
Degree/ Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or related field.
Previous Automotive Industry Parts and Accessories experience
Have minimum of 5 yearsxe2x80x99 of Warehouse Supervisory/Management experience.
Have experience in inventory management, materials handling, related planning principles and procedures
Warehouse planning experience essential
Production scheduling experience will be an advantage

Labour Relations/ IR management experience
1 year SAP operational experience
Proven problem solving and analytical skills.
Lifting machinery operating experience.
