Job Summary
Hire Resolve's client based in Cape Town is seeking a Group Accountant in the Financial Services industry. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional looking to further their career in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As a Group Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the financial activities of the company, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing accurate financial reports to stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Prepare consolidated and stand-alone IFRS-compliant annual financial statements.
- Prepare IFRS technical memos dealing with M&A transactions, general accounting and new IFRS standards.
- Present IFRS training.
- Interact regularly with the external auditors.
- Assist with ad hoc tasks within Group Reporting team.
- CA (SA).
- Minimum 3 years financial services experience post articles; experience in the insurance industry would be highly recommended.
- Extensive financial accounting experience in complex technical environments, including consolidation and group reporting experience.
- Salary: R480K/yr - R650K/yr, salary negotiable
