The successful incumbent will be responsible for ensuring timely resolution of IT issues, adherence to support protocols, and consistent delivery of reliable IT services in alignment with organisational needs.
This role plays a key part in
supporting operational excellence
by responding to user requests, monitoring IT support metrics, optimising helpdesk processes, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the IT department. The Graduate Trainee - IT will also serve as a primary point of contact between end-users and IT management, foster a culture of customer service and accountability, and ensure that all IT support practices align with organisational objectives and compliance requirements.
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12
BSc Computer Science or Equivalent Diploma
Knowledge of the Automotive Industry will be highly advantageous
Duties & Responsibilities
Desktop (Hardware & Software) Support:
Resolve IT Desktop System user's problems
Support a local area computer network
Perform basic administrative tasks
Voice Communications:
Assist the users with accessing their Feltex Automotive Telephone Management Reports
Continuous Improvement:
Participate in Continuous Improvement drives
Administration:
Conduct general IT administration (Filing, records, etc.)
Monitoring of systems as directed by the IT Manager
* Alerting of events as required by the IT Manager to the respective person or system
