A prestigious lodge in the Waterberg region is seeking a highly experienced GENERAL MANAGEMENT (GM) COUPLE to lead and oversee all aspects of lodge operations.
This is a hands-on role, ideally suited to a dynamic couple capable of managing a small, high-performing team while maintaining the highest standards of guest experience. It is an exquisite safari destination within the African bushveld and it's a big 5 region.
Candidate Responsibilities:

• Provide overall leadership and direction for all lodge operations, ensuring service excellence and operational efficiency.
• Manage a small, multi-skilled team, actively participating in day-to-day operations where required.
• Oversee financial management, including budgets, forecasting, and cost control.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Maintain the lodge's reputation for 5-star service standards across all departments.
• Handle multiple operational "hats," including guest relations, staff supervision, and administrative duties.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and quality in all guest and operational touchpoints.
• If one partner has guiding qualifications, assist with guiding operations to enhance guest experiences.

Core Criteria:

• Proven General Management experience in 5-star environments.
• Experience managing small teams in a hands-on environment.
• Flexibility and adaptability to manage multiple responsibilities across different operational areas.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ideally, one member of the couple holds guiding qualifications and relevant field experience.
• A genuine passion for hospitality, nature, and conservation is essential.
