Gardens Supervisor Luxury Hotel Stellenbosch
Job Description
Ensure all equipment is maintained regularly to provide safe and optimal performance
Regularly check the quality of work being done by employees
Keep records of incoming and outgoing parts as required
Allocate tasks according to individual abilities
Knowledge of gardening techniques.
Knowledge of plant and flower care techniques.
Maintain all gardening equipment and machinery, like mowers, trimmers and leaf blowers
Ability to use professional mowing, trimming and pruning equipment
Monitor and maintain the health of plants
Deal with pest problems that could damage plants
Keep gardens and green spaces clear of debris and litter
2 - 3 YEARS' EXPERIENCE AS A GARDENER SUPERVISOR
VALID DRIVERS LICENCE
FAMILIARITY WITH LANDSCAPING DESIGN
Extensive knowledge of REGIONAL PLANT LIFE
Knowledge of local pests and how to eliminate them
Knowledge of synthetic and natural fertilizers
Knowledge of state health and safety regulations for landscaping
The ability to lift heavy objects
The ability to remain on your feet for long periods of time
A love of the outdoors and plant life
Ability to work independently and under pressure
Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks
Excellent high level of attention to detail and accuracy
Must be honest and trustworthy
Good interpersonal skills and communication skills
Between 5 - 7 Years
