Our client, an exclusive wine and hospitality destination in the Cape Winelands, is looking for a skilled Gardener Supervisor to join their team. The successful candidate will take responsibility for supervising gardening staff, ensuring that all outdoor areas, gardens, and landscapes are maintained to the highest standards.
Key responsibilities include assigning daily tasks, monitoring work quality, and ensuring the health and beauty of plants, lawns, and flowerbeds. The Gardener Supervisor will also oversee the use and maintenance of gardening equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and blowers, and ensure that all tools operate safely and effectively. Knowledge of pest control, fertilisation techniques, and seasonal plant care will be vital to the role.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about horticulture and has hands-on supervisory experience in landscaping or estate gardening. The ideal candidate will be organised, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and as part of a team in a high-pressure environment.

Minimum Requirements

• 2-3 years' experience as a Gardener Supervisor or senior gardener
• Strong knowledge of landscaping design and regional plant life
• Familiarity with pest management and fertilisation methods
• Knowledge of gardening health and safety regulations
• Physically fit with the ability to work outdoors and lift heavy objects
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Honest, trustworthy, and able to prioritise multiple tasks
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
