Minimum Requirements



Hold a B.Ed Degree with a Foundation Phase qualification and relevant educational experience Have valid SACE registration (proof required) Be able to plan, assess, record, and report effectively on the Foundation Phase Curriculum Demonstrate an innovative, creative, child-centred, and passionate approach to teaching and school life Have knowledge of thinking-based approaches to teaching, learning, and assessment Be familiar with Problem-Based Learning and Project-Based Learning models Have knowledge and experience in focus group activities and differentiated Maths and Language programmes Singapore Math experience would be an advantage Have a solid understanding of 21st-century educational skills and pedagogy
Possess excellent digital literacy skills with the ability to integrate technology effectively into teaching and learning
Have strong interpersonal and communication skills, and work well as part of a collaborative, dynamic team
Demonstrate sound organisational skills and a commitment to sport and extra-mural activities
Hold current Police, Sexual Offenders Register, and Child Protection Act clearances

Duties and Responsibilities




Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons aligned with the Foundation Phase Curriculum (Grades R-3) Implement innovative, child-centred teaching approaches that foster curiosity, exploration, and active learning Integrate thinking-based approaches into daily instruction to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills Deliver Problem-Based Learning (PBL) and Project-Based Learning experiences that promote inquiry and real-world application Teach differentiated Mathematics and Language programmes to meet diverse learning needs and abilities Implement Singapore Math methodologies and approaches Incorporate 21st-century skills including collaboration, creativity, communication, and critical thinking into lessons Create a stimulating, print-rich, and developmentally appropriate classroom environmentDemonstrate strong digital literacy and integrate technology seamlessly into teaching and learning activities Differentiation and Focus Group Activities Plan and facilitate small focus group sessions for targeted instruction in Mathematics and Language Provide additional support and enrichment activities for learners requiring intervention or extension Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment that supports emotional, social, and academic development Work collaboratively as part of a dynamic, professional teaching team Demonstrate commitment to sport and extra-mural activities by supervising, coaching, or supporting school programmes Participate actively in school events, functions, assemblies, and celebrations Contribute positively to the broader school community and culture
