Village N Life is a leading Tourism and Hospitality company based in the beautiful Camps Bay.

The Bay Hotel, part of our luxury portfolio, seeks a Food and Beverage Manager to lead their dynamic team.

The main purpose of the position is to plan, direct and coordinate activities of the Food and Beverage Department. Responsibilities include maintaining the restaurant's revenue, profitability and and quality goals. Ensuring efficient operation, and maintaining high production, productivity, quality and customer service standards. Provide high quality, memorable experiences for our guests.

To succeed in this role you will need:

• Matric
• Hospitality / Food and Beverage qualification (preferred)
• At least 3 - 5 years experience in the same or similar position in the luxury hotel sector
• Sound Opera knowledge
• Micros knowledge
• Good decision making skills

Additional responsibilities

• Ensure service levels are maintained and sustained in the restaurant and front office departments
• Coordinate daily front and back of house operations
• Respond efficiently to guest complaints
• Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste.
• Take ownership of budgets and cost control methods to minimise expenses
• Liaising with customers, employees, suppliers
• Assist in conducting HR Reviews
• Monitor budgets and payroll records, and review financial transactions to ensure that expenditures are authorised and budgeted
• Ensure stock control system is maintained.
