Custodian Pastry Bar

Custodian is a small, considered pastry bar in the Longkloof Precinct -- built around excellent pastries, great coffee, toasted sandwiches, and genuinely good service. We care about how things are made, how people are treated, and how a space feels when it's run properly.

We're looking for a hands-on FOH Supervisor -- someone who can run a shift, lead a small team, and still happily jump on bar, floor, till, or toasties when service needs it.

This is not a desk job. You lead from the floor.

What you'll be doing

Running FOH shifts calmly and confidently Covering cashier, barista, floor service, and toastie station Keeping service flowing and standards consistent Supporting and guiding the FOH team during busy services Opening and closing the venue, cash-ups, and daily checks Being a steady presence for guests, team, and management

Who this suits

Someone with 2-3+ years hospitality experience You've been a senior FOH or supervisor before ( or are clearly ready for it ) You're comfortable making calls during service You care about details, but don't get flustered You like responsibility and take pride in running a tight ship

The practical bits

Full-time 45-hour work week Shift-based roster, including weekends

Pay

Competitive basic salary, aligned with experience and current rate Shared gratuity pool ( FOH )
