Job Description
Fleet Manager - JhbOur client is looking for a Fleet Manager. This role is responsible for the maintenance and management of the company's truck fleet. This includes booking services, managing tyre wear, monitoring fuel consumption, and ensuring that drivers are performing to company policy requirements. The Fleet Manager will also liaise with Mercedes and Volvo agents as per the company's maintenance contract.Responsibilities:Maintain the company's truck fleet, including booking services, managing tyre wear, monitoring fuel consumption, and ensuring that drivers are performing to company policy requirements.Liaise with Mercedes and Volvo agents as per the company's maintenance contract.Produce records of all fleet maintenance activities.Ensure that the fleet is compliant with all applicable safety regulations.Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the fleet management process.Recruit and train new drivers.Compile and present reports on fleet performance.Key Skills:Strong organizational and time management skills,Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,Ability to work independently and as part of a team,Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word,Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in logistics, transportation, or a related field.3+ years of experience in fleet management.Excellent knowledge of truck maintenance and repair
