Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Fleet Manager to lead our fleet management operations in Gauteng. The successful candidate will be accountable for the Business Fleet management to ensure the fleet is available as mine-ready vehicles by effectively managing and supporting the business to meet operational requirements.

A typical day may include:

• Coordination of daily vehicle bookings and planning (helpdesk).
• Tracking of new units with liaison with distribution and vehicle logistics company, liaise with Service Provider for fitment in new vehicles.
• Licence and registration of new vehicles.
• E toll tags ordered for every vehicle and fitment to be done
• Fleet inspection is done weekly.
• Compile monthly reporting to MANCO on Fleet status, Cost Reports on Fuel and maintenance, Insurance and Claims, milage and utilisation.
• Compiling and implementation of the Fleet strategy.

SOC Tickets for the usage and allocations, Fleet inspection. * Booking out and back (regular), Tracking activities when needed.

• Mine readiness equipment: Dates tracking, First-aid kits (expiry dates and usage tracking), Fire extinguisher (expiry dates and usage tracking).
• Fleet services and maintenance (Old fleet and in regions - intense), Approval process, Record keeping of services, Negotiation with service providers (D3L), Fuel card and E-Tag spend.
• Coordinate of traffic fines by allocating details of responsible driver.
• Buy and disposal of fleet and related assets, gathering of quotations, Procure and install of business required equipment and accessories (ROPS and SecuriLid etc.) - Incident and Accident Management with corporate insurance
• Maintain the fleet management platform (CarTrack) and administer user access

Issue drivers with tags and maintain a database.

The experience we look for:

• Function-related experience: 5 years
• Leading teams: 5 years
• Motor vehicle mechanical experience

Qualifications required:

• Matric
• National Diploma Fleet management or related qualification.
