Greet and seat guests, present menus, and build a positive rapport throughout their meal.
Order management: Take accurate food and beverage orders, including noting special requests or dietary restrictions, and communicate them to the kitchen.
Menu expertise: Possess in-depth knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and specials, and be able to answer questions and make informed recommendations.
Wine service: Advise guests on wine pairings and be proficient in proper wine service techniques.
Service execution: Serve food and beverages with elegance, plate and present dishes correctly, and manage table settings according to high standards.
Guest satisfaction: Periodically check on guests to ensure their satisfaction, address any concerns promptly and professionally, and clear tables efficiently.
End-of-shift duties: Handle payments, complete side work, and prepare for the next service.
Professionalism: Maintain a polished appearance and a graceful, professional demeanor at all times, avoiding noise and haste.
Team coordination: Collaborate with kitchen, bar staff, and other servers to ensure smooth and efficient service.
Maintenance: Ensure the dining area is clean, organized, and adheres to all health and safety regulations.
